Research
Across disciplines and campuses, Florida Atlantic’s world-class researchers seek answers to some of humanity’s most challenging problems, addressing issues that impact Florida, our nation and beyond.
To enhance interdisciplinary and collaborative research, Florida Atlantic has established four university-wide research institutes focused on the university’s strengths. These areas are dedicated to improving and addressing diseases of the brain, enhancing human health and quality of life, protecting the environment locally and globally, and using sensors to monitor the world around us.
Partnerships
Two of the world’s leading research organizations, the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience and The Scripps Research Institute, are located on the Jupiter campus and offer high school, undergraduate and graduate students transformational experiences not found anywhere else in the world.
Innovation and Business Development
The power of our discoveries comes when Florida Atlantic research is translated into products, policy and technology that improve our daily lives. Through its entrepreneurial ecosystem, the University drives economic growth in our region. This group of interconnected programs can take a kernel of an idea and grow it into a thriving business, creating jobs, building wealth and driving innovation.
